It's pretty easy and cost around $10 for all the supplies to make it (not including wax). You basically make two hinged wood frames that each have a plaster mold in them. I pour approx. 1 1/2 cups of melted bees wax onto the mold and close the lid. I cools fairly fast. Use a knife and trim the excess wax off the front edge. Raise the lid just a tad and shoot some air from an air gun (20 psi or so) and the foundation will release from the wet mold. Do the same to the opposite side and lift the wax foundation out.
