Hi Alex, this end mill has a cutting length of 7/8". With multiple passes this can be made to cut up to 7/8" down into a piece of material- sometimes a bit more depending on the design. Generally past 1" of cutting length, the tool runout is quite large and not practical to run for a 1/8" bit, though 1/4" bits can work somewhat better.
