I been looking at tungsten grinders since I got my syncrowave 210 and the prices are outrages just for sharpening tungsten. The new inverter machines such as the Miller Dynasty do not use pure tungsten. They seem to work well with 1.5 to 2% lanthanated. The tungsten is not balled for the inverter machines. Some guys are fine with grinding on a bench grinder, and do it very well. Make sure you only grind tungsten on that wheel though, to avoid contamination of your electrode. We use everything from dedicated "Pirahna" carbide electrode grinders to the cheap belt sanders here for all our electrode needs. Personally, I like the belt sander.
