The invention relates to an oil-free ignition system for a coal burning boiler of a power plant. Brown gas (oxyhydrogen gas) is adopted to directly ignite coal powder. A plurality of sets of brown gas preheating and ignition components and high-temperature heat storage elements are arranged on an ignition burner and part of a primary wind pipeline to form an extensive burner.
