Agreeing with shadow754 - just wanted to add that disc burrs are much cheaper to manufacture than conical burrs, which contributes to the huge price difference in the acutal grinder. The faster spinning of a disc burr is bad because it can cause frictional heat build-up, which can damage the coffee bean.
