ادامه مطلبA ball mill, a type of grinder, is a cylindrical device used in grinding (or mixing) materials like ores, chemicals, ceramic raw materials and paints.Ball mills rotate around a horizontal axis, partially filled with the material to be ground plus the grinding medium. Different materials are used as media, including ceramic balls, flint pebbles, and stainless steel balls.

We present a study of multiferroic properties of YFeO 3 synthesized by means of high-energy ball milling assisted by annealing at low temperature. Fe 2 O 3 and Y 2 O 3 powders were mixed in a stoichiometric ratio, milled for 5 h, pressed and annealed at temperature from 773 to 1073 K. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of single-phase orthorhombic structure.

Meanwhile, the bands attributed to both cellulose Iα and Iβ disappeared for BMC-120, a result attributed mainly to the destruction of the crystal structure by lengthy ball milling.
