Bridgeports are okay machines but there are several other brands that are generally considered better and often cheaper to buy. You tend to pay for the Bridgeport name. Check out Tree mills models 2UVR and 2UVRC, Wells Index, Beavers, Sharp, Webb, to name just a few. I'm sure others will provide additional brands.
