Fig. 1 shows the schematic of the business facilities where pyro-processing of LIB packs is performed in a rotary kiln (outer diameter: 1.6 m, inner diameter: 1.0 m, length: 5.0 m) to recycle small-scale spent lithium-ion secondary batteries [].Spent LIB packs are fed into the kiln from the left side, as shown in Fig. 1, and they undergo pyro-processing in the cylindrical rotary kiln at 1 atm.
